How To Make Your Own Lavender Oil

Not much smells more relaxing than the scent of lavender. It’s been widely used for generations as a sleep aid, massage therapy and general relaxation. But, did you know that lavender oil is also beneficial for healing? When mixed with a carrier oil it has an antibacterial action and assists with scar-free healing. No more stinky salves – definitely a win-win!

Lavender oil purchased locally is approximately $10 for just 30ml. Those costs can add up if you use it often. I found an excellent tutorial on how to make your own lavender oil over at Buzzle and it even explains the difference between an essential oil and an infused oil. You’ll need to understand the difference. Have fun with it and smell wonderful!
