Wooden crates add a unique touch to any room decor. They can be assembled together as wall units, display stands and even complete pieces of furniture. A very versatile box! While older and vintage crates can be a little more expensive to find (approximately $30-$40 each), they do add a rustic touch – especially those that are brand stamped. If you are looking for a cheaper alternative for your design ideas, brand new crates can be purchased at places like Joann.com, Walmart and HomeDepot.com for under $10 each. A nice layer of your favorite stain will age them nicely.
Following is an excellent example of 14 wooden crate design ideas. They include storage, decor, wall units and more. My favorites are the coffee table and the old gray wall unit. Which is yours?
